Parents,
I guess most of your children told you that I went home not feeling well on Friday.  I went straight to the doctor and she said that I didn’t have the flu..but whatever I have wiped me out!  I stayed home again today (Monday) but am feeling much better.  I want to be 100% for the children!
Please refer to the letter you received concerning kindergarten testing for Wednesday and Thursday.  Remember to send your valentine box covered with paper.  The children will decorate these later in the week.  Here’s to another week!

Kindergarten Testing (new students)

Parents,
The Kindergarten teachers along with other staff members will be involved with testing students for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year.  The testing dates are Wednesday, Feb. 2nd and Thurs. Feb. 3rd from 9:00-3:00.  In order for us to conduct the testing uninterrupted, we will have our wonderful substitute teachers take the children at 9:00 to the art room, computer room, and music room.  A very detailed schedule for academic, art and computer times as well as P.E. and Library times has been complied. We will have 12:00 carpool and lunchbunch as usual, but please note the following changes for these two days.
**12:00 carpool will take place in front of the new gym lobby .Please turn into the circle at the 2nd entrance and exit by the playground.
**Lunchbunchers will eat their lunch in the new gym lobby..send lunches as usual.
***3:00 carpool will take place as usual in the front of the school.  The children will be brought back to the Kindergarten building at that time for carpool.
Also, we would like for you to send a shoebox to school by Monday for the children to decorate for their valentine party.  Please cover the box with paper and cut a large/wide lid in the top.  Make sure your child’s name is on the box. They can finish decorating it here at school.  We understand this is a lot of information so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.  We know that the children will really enjoy the two days full of many fun activities.
 Thank you,
Kindergarten Teachers

100th Day Party

Hi Everyone,
We are getting excited about our 100th day party on Tuesday.  I can't believe we have been in school that long.  I don't have to remind you that we will be on the downhill for Kindergarten (sad).  Anyway you will be contacted by Mrs. Taylor in order to help with the party.  Thank you in advance for your help.  It will be a fun hour full of many "learning stations" and of course CAKE!  Hope you can make it Tuesday, if only for a little while.  We will get started at 8:00.
Hope to see you then.

Pizza Fun

We had a great time today making our pizzas and eating them.  We put the toppings on ourselves and waited patiently while they cooked.  We then had a lesson on fractions and cutting the pizza into equal parts.  What a yummy way to learn math!
